The summer festival of IG Tanz Essen 
- a network for and by freelance artists of the dance scene in Essen

Initiated by artists of IG Tanz Essen, the team of the co-working space space|lab and the company Polymer DMT / Fang Yun Lo, the first three-day festival of the network took place in July.

The first day started with a round of talks and exchanges, in which current works and topics of the artists were discussed, then the opening was celebrated at GITTER RAUM.

On the second day, the main event took place: The public was invited to a two-hour parcours, which led through the neighboring spaces and galleries of the co-working space. More than 15 artists presented performances, concerts and installations spread over five locations. IG Tanz Essen attaches importance to curate as a group. Every artist who wants to be involved gets the opportunity to exchange about their work or to show it. In the evening, the groups met at Weberplatz for a picnic.

An exchange with artists working both in Essen and internationally took place on the third day at space|lab via Zoom.
