The project explores working conditions in the performing arts. Questions such as: "Which places do we choose and how do they influence our relationships and work?" were answered intuitively, thought about further and a bigger picture was opened up through their exchange. Themes such as funding structures, precarious living situations, personal values, needs and future plans were first intensively discussed, by Toni Brell, Kati Masami Menze and Daria Nazarenko. The process oriented work was further developed with mapping, text, voice, movement and video.
It's about relationships - with ourselves, our partners, our work, nature and the environment. It is about time, place, profession and the private things. It’s about money, about all the roles we take on, about care work and balance. Everything is inseparable, everything is part of us, some by choice, others simply by chance. It is about "how do we want to live?".
We want to „unground":
As a result of the residency we created the term "Ungroundin". It is a life practice in which we consciously engage with structural uncertainties and generate security, creativity and balance through other elements.
